Kahoot is an interactive, game based, learning tool that allows you to assess your students in a fun, engaging way. Kahoot allows you to use pre made quizzes or create your own to help your students learn. I was first introduced to Kahoot when I was in high school. It became a fun activity we would get to do occasionally with our classes. When I became a teacher, I was not sure if my students would enjoy it as much as I did. However, I was pleasantly surprised. My students absolutely love Kahoot. They constantly ask me if we can play one and have become really comfortable with the easy to use platform.

Kendra, I have used Kahoot previously but I learned some new ways to use it through your tutorial! I never searched for other Kahoots. I always made my own. It was helpful to see how I can search for already made ones and how I can customize it to what I need! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteKendra, I **feel** like Kahoot is one of those tools/activities that is fun for all ages. I think the enjoyment of Kahoot lies in the topics we choose to cover as well as the fact that it is gamified instruction. I'm not sure what this says about me and my friend group (probably that I'm friends with a bunch of teachers) but we definitely have used Kahoot outside of our classrooms (usually as trivia for wedding showers and birthday parties). That said, your post reminded me how much pre-made content is already available on Kahoot; oftentimes I go on Kahoot to create something from scratch and I forget that this site has so much already! Thank you for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteKendra, I like that you also used Kahoot. I think we enjoy Kahoot for the same reasons - because it's fun and very versatile. I agree with Alyssa's comment that Kahoot is the type of program that virtually anyone can use. I agree that it can be easy to forget how much is on there, but that's also why I started using premade ones more than creating my own from scratch. It saves me so much time when I am planning a lesson.
